Queen Kaahumanu Center, which is a shopping mall, is a central hub for buses, so you can get a direct bus to many places, including West Maui and South Maui.
To go to Kapalua, you will take the West Maui Islander bus route. I took the Maui bus a number of times in January and February 2020 and this is based on my experience. Really all you need to do is open up the google maps app on your phone when you’re in Maui and type in your destination.
